In this course\, we focus on those techniques in detailed explanations and practice aimed at deepening our appreciation of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. \nThis course covers the subject in even finer detail as we explore Vinyasa in terms of synchronizing the body and breath as well deepening our awareness. \nCourse Curriculum: \nWeek 1: Vinyasa \n\nPracticing Ujjayi breath\, Moola Bandha\, Uddiyana Bandha.\nLinking the body and breath.\nPracticing Surya Namaskara with awareness of Vinyasa.\n\nWeek 2: Surya Namaskara 1 \n\nReviewing and analyzing the practice of Surya Namaskara.\nDeepening our understanding of the Vinyasa system.\n\nWeek 3: Surya Namaskara 2 \n\nDelving further into Surya Namaskara to deepen our understanding of each posture\, especially the\nUpward-facing Dog\, the Downward-facing Dog\, and Chaturanga Dandasana.\n\nWeek 4: Standing postures \n\nAnalyzing and practicing how to approach and move between postures.\n\nWeek 5: Arm Balancing \n\nDeveloping the feeling of getting on our arms.\nIncorporating the Jump Through and the Jump Back by becoming more familiar with using our arms.\n\nWeek 6: Sitting Postures \n\nAnalyzing and practicing the postures.\nLearning how to move between postures with the Jump Through and the Jump Back.\n\nWeek 7: Backbending \n\nDeepening the backbend through various means.\nPracticing the Urdhva Dhanurasana by gradually stretching and opening.\n\nWeek 8: Inversion \n\nWorking with a focus on poses such as the Shoulderstand and the Headstand.\nLearning how to practice the postures.\n\nWeek 9: Full Primary Led \n\nWe conclude by practicing how to integrate what we have learned by synchronizing our body and breath\, and by developing energy and sharing it with delight among ourselves.
