DESCRIPTION:Share this:Kengo Nomura and Patrick Oancia will be leading daily pranayama and asana classes at the world renown Boom festival. \nThe Boom Festival is a global art\, music and culture gathering held every two years in Portugal’s sun-drenched countryside in a stunning outdoor location on the shore of the Lake Idanha-a-Nova.\nYogaJaya Tokyo’s Patrick Oancia and Kengo Nomura will be leading daily morning pranayama\, and yoga asana sessions from August 4 to August 9 in the Liminal Village. Some cleaning and preparation will be necessary to conduct the morning sessions. Patrick and Kengo will greatly welcome any help in cleaning and preparing the venue for the yoga. Please show up 30 minutes prior to lend a hand. Everyone’s collective help will be greatly appreciated! \nJoin Patrick Oancia on August 9th in the Liminal village for;\n “Tapping into the core of human essence.” \nThis workshop will introduce the fundamentals of how yoga practice can be used to sharpen the mind\, tone the nervous system\, promote health\, well being and expand creativity. Every one of us has the ability to boost our individual level of awareness. With the awareness up\, we are up! Perceptions inevitably change\, and our true potential flowers! Patrick will be assisted by Kengo Nomura. \nLiminal Village \nEmerging out of the dust of 2004\, the Liminal Village returns to the Boom Festival in 2006 revitalized and evolved. Set within an interactive demonstration zen- permaculture garden\, the space will feature daily workshops\, evening presentations\, a cinema\, visionary art gallery\, healing space and organic cafe. \nCreated outside the confines of everyday society\, the Liminal Village is a temporary autonomous zone for exploring new paradigms and applied dynamics in experiential design. Representing the confluence of cultures\, traditions\, energy and information the Liminal Village is a collaboration with people from around the world. As a sentient environment\, It will hold a sacred space for transformational education\, visionary art and creative expression. \nOmniplex – Workshop Zone \nThe Liminal Village workshop zone is an interactive experiment in experiential education and emergent design. As a global classroom\, the space is set for a convergence of ideas and skills relevant to the unfolding of a new cultural paradigm. With teachers from all over the world\, the integrated curriculum includes an array of workshops like yoga\, tai chi\, dance\, spiritual philosophy\, cultural study\, permaculture gardening\, sound healing and art. Focussing on practical techniques\, festival participants are offered the opportunity to gather with others to expand their minds\, tune their bodies\, and evolve their skillsets. \n
