CROSSROADS

Josh Child (Rotation) and Patrick Oancia (Para Impacto, YogaJaya, JayaJaya), both yield from Canada. Having been very active in music and promotion in their home country, the Canadians have joined forces to make a landmark event out of “Crossroads”, marking diversity, in music, art, fashion, design, sustainable living and new world cross culture.

Headline acts will include Peir Bucci, Akiko Kiyama, Mishaal, and Duncan Wong.

YOGAJAYA 2007 TEACHER TRAINING

YogaJaya 2007 50 Hour Intensive Teacher Training
February 24th, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st
Saturdays

The YogaJaya TT course is designed to take place over a total of 50 hours of instruction conducted mainly during six days of 8 or 9 hours of practice each day, completed within a total time frame of six weeks (roughly one day per week).

This course is designed to transform an individual’s perceptions of yoga practice and how it relates to daily life. The facilitators that have been chosen for this course have decades of accumulated experience as yoga practitioners, teachers, therapists and artists.

Vibrant Living Yoga Workshop with Daniel Aaron

Lance is the director of INSPYA – Integrated South Pacific Yoga Academy. After a lifetime of personal practice and teaching experience, Lance developed the unique synergy of Vinyasa and Iyengar styles that is primarily taught at Inspya.

Inspya Yoga is a dynamic blend of balance, strength, flexibility and endurance. Lance qualified as an Iyengar yoga instructor with the Australian School of Yoga in Sydney and has been a senior teaching instructor for teacher trainees with Yoga Arts Australia for over seven years. He has been practicing yoga for twenty two years and teaching for seventeen. He has special interests in martial arts, acrobatics and meditation. Lance also teaches trainees and delivers retreats and workshops across the world.

Bingin Beach is on the east coast of Bali, situated in a beautiful quiet and peaceful location away from the bustle of tourism, well known as a popular surfing and snorkelling destination. The yoga will be held in a beautiful traditional open-air pavilion at the Hermitage Educare Centre.

Pranayama and Beyond Tokyo 2007 Workshop
June 20th to June 26th

Intensive Pranayama Workshop during the weekdays (90 Minutes per day). Pranayama and Philosophy during the weekends (3 hours with a short break in between) – here, the applied techniques and experiences of Pranayama are elaborated and put into the context of the yogic Sadhana (spiritual journey).

Pranayama Mountain Retreat
June 28th to July 1st. Gunma Prefecture

This retreat is an exclusive 4 days with Emil. The day starts with Meditation and Pranayama, and, after a short tea break, continues with a 120 minutes’ Asana session. In the afternoons, the background and philosophy of yoga are discussed, followed by a short period of inversions, and then alternatively by Mantra practices or Mudra sequences. The day ends in meditation, or with Bhajans (a discipline of Bhakti Yoga – the Yoga of Devotion). The retreat is an intensive 7-8 hours of Sadhana per day, exploring the deeper experiences of yoga, and a look at the potential of true transformation in our lifes.

Emil was born in Switzerland and has been living in Asia since the mid-seventies, studying Sanskrit and Indian Dharma on the Subcontinent, as well as Chinese Philosophy and Taoism in East Asia. He is presently conducting courses for teacher training programs of Yoga Arts of Australia and Purple Valley of India in pranayama, guided meditation and yoga philosophy, the latter a series of lectures encompassing the known history, the different disciplines and traditions, and the personalities and masters of Yoga.
When not in Nepal and India practicing, teaching, and researching, Emil is holding his own workshops and retreats in Europe, as well as in Bali, Singapore, Thailand, Australia and Japan.
Emil E. Wendel teaches a merging of asanas (physical yoga), pranayama (breathing techniques) and dhyana (meditation), to develop and deepen yoga practice.
