YogaJaya Account Balance Transfer Program: Terms & Conditions
- The YogaJaya Account Balance Transfer program (abbreviated as YABT program hereafter) is offered by YogaJaya to any Student who has had remaining account balance (i.e. Membership, Tickets, Passes; “Tickets”, “Passes”, and “Tickets and Passes” will be collectively referred to as “Passes” hereafter) in their YogaJaya MindBodyOnline Account on 2020/04/11.
- The value of the remaining balance of the YogaJaya MindBodyOnline Account was calculated as Prorated Value of the unused classes and/or unused memberships (abbreviated as PV hereafter).
- The PV was calculated as follows:
- 3a. If a Student had unused classes remaining in their active pass (i.e. any pass that had not yet expired by 2020/04/11), irrespective of the remaining validity period, the price of the pass was divided by the number of classes, and multiplied by the number of classes unused.
(For example, if a Student had 2 classes remaining in their non-member 5-ticket pass, purchased at ¥11,600: ¥11,600 / 5 * 2 = ¥4,640)
- 3b. If a Student had an active membership (i.e. any membership that had not yet expired by 2020/04/11), the number of unused days was calculated as a difference in days between the expiry date of the membership and 2020/04/11. Then the price of the membership was divided by 365 (the number of days that an annual membership is valid for) and multiplied by the number of remaining days.
(For example, if a Student had 81 day remaining in their membership, purchased at ¥10,300: ¥10,300 / 365 * 81 = ¥2,286)
- 3c. The PV was calculated as the sum of the numbers calculated in 3a and 3b.
- YogaJaya communicates the following values to each student eligible for the YABT program:
- 4a. the number of passes active by 2020/04/11
- 4b. the number of contribution passes active by 2020/04/11
- 4c. the number of active memberships (paid and/or free, combined) active by 2020/04/11
- 4d. the total number of classes unused in all passes active by 2020/04/11
- 4e. the total number of unused days in all memberships active by 2020/04/11
- 4f. the PV
- If the Student desires to know more about the state of their YogaJaya account balance on 2020/04/11, this information may be obtained by contacting the YogaJaya administration.
- The YABT program allows to convert the PV amount in JPY into a credit to pay for X number of months (where X is a variable; its value will be calculated for the Student for each plan, as described below) of any one of the 9 monthly subscription plans on the https://practice.baseworks.com Baseworks Practice website (abbreviated as BP website hereafter) as listed on 2021/04/01.
- The BP website is owned and operated by the Baseworks brand under Shaspo LLC. By participating in the YABT program the Student agrees that the personal data associated with their YogaJaya account will be shared with and thereafter handled by the Baseworks brand under Shaspo LLC. The Student is required to to carefully review and agree to Baseworks/Shaspo LLC Privacy Policy and Terms of Use prior to completing account creation to get started with the YABT program on BP website.
- The Student is responsible to visit the BP website to find out the details of each of the 9 plans (BASIC English, BASIC Japanese, BASIC Bilingual, CYCLICAL English, CYCLICAL Japanese, CYCLICAL Bilingual, DEEP English, DEEP Japanese, DEEP Bilingual).
- As the monthly subscription plan prices are set on the BP website in Euro, to calculate the Transfer Coefficients (abbreviated as TC hereafter) for each of the plans, an exchange rate of 8 Euro = 1,000 JPY was used. The JPY equivalent of the prices displayed on the BP website will fluctuate depending on the current currency exchange rates.
- The TC, equal to X number of months, for each of the 9 plans was calculated as follows:
- 10a. The Plan’s price was converted from Euro to JPY, as described in 9.
- 10b. The PV was divided by the Plan’s price calculated in 10a.
- 10c. If the number derived in 10b was a whole number (for example, 1 or 2), then this number was used as the TC value for the Plan.
- 10d. If the number derived in 10b was a decimal number (for example, 3.12), then this number was rounded up (for example, 3.12 was rounded up to 4). Then this rounded up number was used as the TC value for the Plan.
- 10e. Because of the differences in the 9 plans prices, the TC may be different from Plan to Plan.
- 10f. If the Student had an active contribution pass in their account, the TC values for each Plan calculated in 10c or 10d were updated to TC+1 (adding 1 additional month to each Plan’s TC value).
- YogaJaya communicates the final calculated TC for each Plan to the Student.
- YogaJaya does not provide detailed TC calculation breakdown to the Student, unless the Student requests so by directly contacting the YogaJaya administration.
- In order to transfer the PV amount in JPY to TC number of months of access with one selected plan, YogaJaya provides the student with 6 coupon codes (abbreviated as YABT coupon codes hereafter), each unique to the Student.
- In order to take advantage of the YABT program, the Student is required to apply 1 of the YABT coupon codes during the checkout on the BP website.
- The Student will not have to provide the payment method details during the checkout.
- By applying 1 of the provided YABT coupon codes and completing the checkout, the Student agrees to fully transfer the PV of their YogaJaya account balance to the BP website.
- Once the transfer of the PV of the Student’s YogaJaya account balance to the BP website is complete, this transfer cannot be reversed.
- The Student will have access to the selected plan for TC number of months.
- After TC number of months, if the Student decides to either continue using the monthly subscription plan or upgrade/downgrade, they will be required to enter payment method details.
- If the Student does not pay for the monthly subscription plan beyond the TC number of months, their access to the paid content will be suspended.
- If the Student decides to terminate their monthly subscription plan on the BP website before the end of the TC number of months period, no refund or any financial reimbursement, can be reimbursed to the Student.
- Changing the monthly subscription plan before the end of the TC number of months period of access will be seen as equivalent to clause 21.
- Applying 1 of the YABT coupon codes and completing the checkout invalidates the remaining 5 YABT coupon codes.
- The YABT coupon codes unique to the Student cannot be transferred to any Other Individual apart from the Student.
- If it comes to YogaJaya administration’s knowledge that the YABT coupon codes unique to the Student were used by any Other Individual to gain access to any monthly subscription plan, the Other Individual’s account/access will be terminated.
