You will soon be able to see the changes in your body by following the safe and attainable steps our practice syllabus offers.
Classes are taught consistently and 100% in line with the teacher training methodology by experienced, certified teachers.
We have structured the training in a way that you are able to learn at your own pace and create your own schedule.
You will be able to leverage our extensive infrastructure and years of experience, benefiting from our convenient and supportive learning framework.
Prerequisite online “course content” studies with virtual Face-to-Face sessions:
*Note: As the current situation with COVID 19 is still developing, in-person modules will become virtual if lockdown or distancing protocols are in place. For our Yoga Alliance specific trainings, we receive direction on how to administer our courses periodically and that information will be updated regularly.
As you can see, we have put a lot of detail into creating a solid framework that integrates the best of both mediums for learning.
There are 3 best proven ways to achieve great results in practice:
Although totally possible, this can be potentially challenging.
Not only will you need to find a teacher who is willing to work with you, but unless you can afford to have them come to you…it will likely entail that you will need to go to them, at a time and place they are teaching.
Although this can be a valuable experience, if you want to both learn and pursue other interests without drastically altering your lifestyle, it can be really tough to make this scenario work for a long enough duration to get something meaningful out of it.
Our entire practice syllabus is available online, 24/7, to compliment the course content. This keeps you synergistically integrated with the teacher training content providing a super effective preparatory tool for the live face-to-face sessions.
This makes it possible to fit a regular practice into pretty much any schedule scenario.
As we are not able to turn back time….or assign a private teacher to everyone who wants to improve the practice…. we’ve really worked hard over the years to create the infrastructure to enable this third option for anybody.
Our certified teacher body, our teacher training curriculum, and our online content are all seamlessly aligned.
Regardless of which medium you choose to study, you will be able to build upon and improve your practice….no matter what.
You’d be surprised……many of our applicants are exactly like you.
Not everybody has to be a yoga teacher. There is however something extremely valuable in having the experience of teaching a physical practice to others for the learning process:
Face-to-face learning with the same teacher is an excellent way to learn.
In fact, a substantial part of our course is conducted face-to-face with passionate & dedicated certified teachers.
However, economically and energetically it is close impossible in most cases to go super deep in any 200 hour teacher training without supplemental course content.
It would require for one to have the time and means to hire a personal teacher to be there all the time, every day.
During the years of experience in running our teacher training courses, we have seen students face the constant struggle between not having enough time and or having way too many options.
People learn in different ways and on different timelines. In order to assess everybody’s understanding in detail, the training duration would need to be extended from the current 200 hour format to at least 1000+ hours.
Our online platform allows each student to create a solid foundation in the theory and terminology at a time and place of choosing.
This allows for one to familiarize the concepts prior to the face–to–face sessions. It makes the in-person learning exponentially more productive.
You know how easy something is when you already know it, right?
The great thing about our courses is that we offer the best of both worlds.
The consolidation sessions will be conducted under direct guidance of certified teachers together with fellow students.
The YogaJaya Level 1 Teacher Training is designed to reap substantial results in both conceptual learning (to digest everything), and in learning with your body via consistent practice to internalize the movement skills.
Yes! Although it is a lot more prevalent in some countries, it is rapidly growing in Japan as well.
A great example of why online learning is so effective:
Sebatian Thrun from Udacity conducted a Stanford University data science course in Robotics/Artificial Intelligence in 2009. The course had a face to face enrollment held on the Stanford University Campus of 200 of the top data science Stanford students. At the same time the course was released online to an enrollment of 160,000 students. The course content was identical.
At the end of the course they stack-ranked the Stanford students (the most privileged) with the students from the online course. The top 412 students were not from Stanford. In fact the best performing Stanford student was number 413 out of a class of 200.
This meant that for every 1 great Stanford student, there was 412 other people in the world that matched that. The students who did the course online, had the opportunity to review the material and lectures, over and over, absorbing what they studied to infuse the learning efficacy.
Since then many other studies prove that if anyone is provided with a digital environment to learn that is not limited to a fixed time and place, that the efficacy for learning can be much more substantial.
This is one of the reasons why online learning is significantly expanding globally with different educational institutions, not only in the academic world but also in business, lifetime education and health & wellness.
The YogaJaya Level 1 Teacher Training not only incorporates the efficacy of online learning, but at the same time is unique in combining this with direct interaction with certified teachers. Hence both learning mediums have a super synergistic outcome.
We value our courses based on the following criteria:
AS A POINT OF REFERENCE:
RYT200 training programs in Japan are generally priced between 400,000-780,000 JPY (3,850-7,200 USD) with differences in methodology, module delivery, training faculty, certification, and after graduation opportunities & support.
Any courses offered at less than 400,000 yen likely focus primarily on the basics.
Just like anything, if you are looking for a sustainable, scaleable and practical value from a teacher training experience, we really recommend researching the history, available resources and expertise of what each studio/course offers.
Like any certification under any educational institution, it will require an investment of your time, energy and financial resources.
This is particularly true if you are looking to become an established and experienced teacher with a credible Accreditation/Certification behind you.
Any credible Accreditation/Certification opens doors to opportunities, both personal and professional.
For perspective… if one were to begin teaching right after graduation, an average side-teaching income from teaching a few classes will be on average about ¥8000 to 10,000 yen per week. This is a total of ¥400,000 to ¥520,000 yen on the first year. In this way, most RYT200 training graduates are able to pay off their course tuition within their first year of teaching.
Even if you do not begin teaching immediately, the key thing is that the opportunity to teach will always be available to you as long as you maintain your Accreditation/Certification.
If teaching is not something that you will end up doing, it is worth considering that great experiences can not always be measured monetarily.
Just think of how you have invested time and resources in life so far on things that you are passionate about. Has it always been based on a return of financial investment?
Different to that of studios which graduate thousands of students a year, we keep our yearly attendance caps and after graduation support lean and realistically supportive:
