BASEWORKS is a lifestyle approach inspired by hatha yoga, movement physiology, and self-actualization aimed at enhancing health, and life in general. Baseworks practice combines corrective movement and refined breathing techniques to promote a balance of strength, flexibility, and introspection.
Baseworks practice involves over 100 postures at varying levels of ability in sets of sequences. Baseworks 1.0 and 2.0 focus on structural alignment. Baseworks 3.0 and 4.0 (intermediate and experienced) focus on enhancing energetics utilizing alignment foundations. The varying-level strategy builds from introductory toward advanced dynamics in a safe and holistic way. This Baseworks Pop-Up Studio is an introduction to Baseworks 1.0 and 2.0 via 5 sequences.
Baseworks 1.0 focuses on building a foundation in structural alignment, covering introductory pose dynamics and breathing methods.
**Equally suitable for total beginners or experienced practitioners of yoga or other movement systems.
Baseworks 2.0 continues to focus on structural alignment fundamentals through added poses and complexity. Students are taken through pose dynamics with refined breathing, while moving toward smoother transitions between the poses.
** Baseworks 1.0 is recommended as a prerequisite to better assimilate the information presented at this level. Baseworks practice is not designed only as a progression toward achievement. Whatever the proficiency, students are recommended to continue practicing at all the levels to inter-apply the methodology between each level.
