Back-Bending Workshop
May 16, 13:00-16:00

Asanas are a joyous exploration of the physical body, which prepare the Yogi for a deeper world that longs to be explored.

In this particular workshop, Anouk will be explaining the importance of back-bends in our practice and their contrast to forward-bends. She will start by guiding you through a series of steps where the beginning is always a warm up, followed by the so-called ‘freeing-up’ of the different parts of the body, before the full back-bends such as Khandarasana, Dhanurasana, and Urdhva Dhanurasana etc. are attempted.

This workshop is open to all Yoga practitioners and Yoga teachers. Please note that within this short workshop individual back problems cannot be entertained.

Come and explore the art of back-bending and experience the joy this practice brings into our lives.

Restorative Class: Melting into Deep Relaxation
May 17, 13:30-15:30

We live in a modern world that seems to be driven by the pressure to be more productive, to be faster, to do more and more. As a result, we live in stress, and unfortunately, many people, in chronic stress.

Our Asana practice does not always have to be seen as dynamic. For Anouk, a strong physical modern Yoga practice finds its complement in a Restorative/ Yin practice, one where being non-active nourishes us at a deep levels.

In this class the teacher will guide you into a series of postures that are only on the floor, using props to support your body. Anouk explains what this practice is about and at times beautiful music and stillness envelop the room.

Come and enjoy a gentle form of opening and relaxing our bodies and the precious gift of resting.

This class is open to all.
