Asana Classes
October 21-23, 12:30-14:00

For Anouk, Asanas are a joyous inquiry into the physical body. Such inquiry prepares the Yogi for a deeper world that longs to be explored, one that goes beyond our mind and its identifications.

In this class we will unfold a journey that starts with the gross, physical body and moves towards the more subtle body, which in Yoga is also called energy body that opens furthers higher levels of awareness. Anouk is fascinated with the play between being active and non-active, strength and softness, breath, movement and stillness, and the sensitivity one can cultivate during this Asana exploration.

Restorative Yin Class
October 22, 17:00-18:30

We live in a modern world that seems to be driven by pressure to be more productive to be faster, to do more and more, and as a result we live in stress. Our Asana practice does not always has to be seen as dynamic. For Anouk, its polarity and complement lies in a Restorative/ Yin practice, one where being non-active nourishes us. This is a practice that cultivates energy when we feel exhausted and depleted and calms us down when we are overactive in our minds and bodies.

In this class Anouk will guide into a series of postures that are only on the floor, using props to support us while explaining what this practice is about. Come and enjoy a gentle form of opening and relaxing our bodies and the precious gift of non-doing.
