Magnolia Zuniga: 3 approaches of Tantric Yoga

In this workshop Magnolia will be taking you step by step through 3 transformational approaches to Tantric Yoga. We will explore and seek to integrate the following aspects of yoga: asana-postures relating to the physical body, double breath transformational breathing relating to the subtle body and meditation/ dream yoga relating to consciousness.

August 5th
All levels
14:00-17:00 pm

Double Breath. Breath work as taught by Swami Rudrananda of the Saraswati lineage. The transformation that occurs by taking gross energy (unresolved emotions, external energy) and transforming into a more refined integrated spiritual energy.

Foundation of the Ashtanga System. Here we will explore Sun Salutations and standing poses within the primary series. We will place emphasis on internal alignment to further deepen our connection to dristi, breath and bandha.

Yoga Nidra. A systematic practice where the body and mind enter into a more subtle state of consciousness. While the body goes into a deep relaxation the mind is allowed to expand free of physical form allowing for the beginning stages of dream yogic practice; as taught by Swami Satyananda of the Saraswati lineage.

Backbending. Emphasis placed on internal and external alignment within backbending asanas. We will explore safety and self inquiry simultaneously to allow practictioners to go deeper into their practice.
