*WEEK 1 - Module 1
Saturday, March 18, 15:00-17:00
1. CLEANSING
Yoga practice is preventative medicine. In this module we will be focusing on spring cleaning using Yin Yoga. This is a practice that deepens our understanding of our vital energy -prana, while understanding how the yin practic3e affects the meridian system and specific organs to enhance overall harmony of being. This is a relaxed practice of floor postures held for 3-5 minutes at a time. It emphasizes the connective tissues of the hips, thighs, pelvis and lower spine. It prepares and cleanses the body and mind for longer meditation practices and the more muscular "yang" form of yoga.
*WEEK 2 - Module 2
Saturday, March 25, 15:00-17:00
2. STRENGTHENING
A challenging flow class, cultivating stamina, strength and mind focus incorporating rhythmic breath and a flow of movement.
It is designed to strengthen the core, as well as arms, legs, shoulders, back and the mind.
*WEEK 3 - Module 3
Saturday, April 1, 15:00-17:00
3. LETTING GO
Letting go is the essence of meditation. Even though getting something from our practice seems so important, only giving can ultimately bring us real fulfillment. In this module we will be looking at restorative poses after a vinyasa flow sequence- where it teaches us how to self-nurture and to encourage us to enter into a meditative state. The aim is to replenish deeply at all times- especially stressful times.
