Born in Colombia. There she gained first professional dance experiences, joined dance studies and also tours. After that she studied modern dance in Germany at the Folkwang University, Essen, Germany. Additionally, Maria Lucia took courses for Contemporary Dance and Yoga in France and New York. Since 2003, she works with TANZMOTO Dance Company as a dancer, dance teacher and choreographic assistant with the choreographer Mohan C. Thomas. Further, Maria Lucia danced and created dance pieces together with different international choreographers like Eugenio Cueto Barragán, Kuo Chu Wu, Zoltan Dani, Norbert Steinwarz, Leonard Cruz, Daniel Fetecua Soto, Carlos Sampaio and Royston Maldoom.
