Patrick Oancia: Mindfulness Meditation/Breathing Immersion
The particular state of the mind soon after waking allows for one to become uniquely receptive to these practices. Especially when done daily.
This immersion is open to all levels of students and is encouraged for those completely new to these practices as well. Each morning includes systematic progressions of breathing methods (pranayama) and guided mindfulness meditation utilizing effective techniques in an easy-to-understand way.
Practice applications will include:
- Guided mindfulness meditation including body scan
- Internal and external breath retention (Bahir and Antar Kumbhaka)
- Body posture and hand gesture (Mudra)
- Sound practices (Mantra, Bhramari)
- Breathing methods (Bhastrika, Viloma, Nadi Shodana Pranayama)
- Cleansing methods (Uddhiyana Kriya, Kabphalabhati)
- Neuromuscular locks (Moola Bandha, Jalandhar Bandha, Uddhiyana Bandha)
