Over this 4 session course, YogaJaya Director, Patrick Oancia will work together with the students to build the foundations of a regular yoga routine. Satoko Horie: Body Movement and Expression 4 Week Course
This course is an introduction to ways to raise our awareness of the body, and of what lies within and beyond the body, through a range of movements inspired by yoga, expressive arts and contact improvisation. This course is presented over a 4-week period during which participants are led through stages running from an exploration of the self, connections with others, expressing one’s self and exploring extensions beyond the self.

Patrick Oancia: Yin and Yang: Ancient Techniques In A Modern World 4 Week Practice Course
This course explores the yang quality of more dynamic practice whereby the opposing muscle groups are actively stimulated with more the yin, restorative qualities of passively holding postures for longer periods without muscular activation to release through the connective tissues of the joints. The different posture work holistically stimulates the nervous systems on a physical level and the different aspects of meridian system in a more subtle, energetic way to promote total well being. Each session will include a steady balance of different pose groups, combining restorative and dynamic practice with and without props.

Patrick Oancia: YogaJaya Experienced Practitioner Immersion 2012 Version E1.0 Extended
This VE1.0 immersion is a continuation of a series of fixed asana sequences which eventually navigates students to creative and random, dynamic freestyle asana practice.
Although some alignment will be emphasized according to Patricks’ teaching style, this is immersion is open to all experienced dynamic yoga asana practitioners. Pranayama will be integrated into the sequencing.
