Mark Shveima: The Body As A Temple: An Exploration of Foundation & Sacred Space
What type of ground is your life most firmly rooted into?
What type of sacred space have you built upon the ground of your life?
These are our considerations as we explore the asana practice from both the perspective of the physical body, and the emotional content of the energy vortices of the muladhara and svadhishthana chakras.
The body is a sacred vessel, with the capacity to assist us in our movement toward a more harmonious relationship with our emotional core. When we truly listen to what is being communicated from the body, we can often receive profound insight into our emotional state as well

Jason Crandell Lotus 8 x Tokyo Yoga x YogaJaya Collaboration Workshop 2011
Jason is back! In this 3-workshop series in Tokyo, you will learn how alignment and attention to detail cultivates greater depth and ease in your flow practice—from exploring your breath's patterns, to arm-balances, to backbends, to release your spine. Said to have a “knack for explaining subtle movements in a way everyone can understand” (Yoga Journal), Jason will help you deepen your practice—teaching you to expand your edge, open your body, and stay connected to your essence. Each workshop will begin with a brief discussion of related anatomy and illustrate the physical theme of the practice with demonstration. Then, we will transition into a smart, satisfying flow practice.

Patrick Oancia: The Deeper Dimensions of Teaching Yoga 15-Hour Yoga Teachers’ Immersion
Patrick Oancia has been teaching yoga internationally for more than a decade with a passion and focus on expanding the application of yoga beyond the mat and into everyday life. Patrick’s personal interest is in constantly developing his potential for expanding his teaching knowledge based on in-depth study of diverse teaching styles and effective ways of promoting meaningful feedback. Throughout the years of training teachers, he has been constantly developing his own style through his study of teaching platforms in various educational environments.
Immersion in this course is intended to explore different theories on conveying knowledge, borrowing ideas from existing learning platforms not directly related to yoga, but linked to the assimilation of information for the purpose of reaching a more diverse yoga student base.

Simon Borg-Olivier: Awakening The Chakras
In this morning class followed by a workshop, you will learn wave-like movements of the spine, that, when moved one vertebra at a time, can help in the generation of energy and the transmission of power through the channels of the body. This process also establishes a type of ‘core stabilization’ that is both firm but calm, or ‘sthira sukham asanam’, as described in the yoga sutras of Patanjali.
